Lives and work in Bangkok
Rapat Bunduwanich’s interest in photography began at a young age, overtime he began to experiment with mixed media to expand the possibilities of his photography. His works explore processes of division and disruption with video and sculpture, changing the form his photographs to create spatial photo installations. Rapat’s works are often noted to his Thai heritage, the country’s current political landscape, and the overlapping of historical events with his personal experiences.
Rapat has exhibited at various galleries in Bangkok, where he created his own photo ‘festival’ dubbed “Flash Forward: Rapat’s Photo Festival” and was a contributing artist at the American Pavilion of the Bangkok Biennial in 2018.
